EXECUTIVE TEAM


Ronald J. Love - Chairman /Founder

           Mr. Love is the Chairman of Resources Worldwide and founder, Mr. Love has also served on the board of directors for Burlington Northern Railroad (International) Pirelli Tire (USA) World Wide Logistics, Air Weigh Europe, Columbia Warehouse and Distribution, Sound & Optics International, Firepass Transportation, Inc. and Aerospace Composite Structures. He has been directly involved with administering multi-million dollar contracts with the United States Military for over twenty years through Sea-Land Service and United States Lines. He wrote the business plan for Aerospace Composite Structures and took the company public with his associates in London and Monte Carlo. This was in conjunction with a cooperative research agreement with the United States Air Force.

           Mr. Love is highly accomplished executive with international experience in operations, strategic planning, acquisitions, and representing corporate investors with start up and growth organizations. Results oriented, tenacious leader, with proven success in new market identification, strategic thinking, and pro-active problem solving. Mr. Love attended the American Institute of Banking NYC, Fairleigh Dickinson University (economics), Rutgers University (Business administration) and Rutgers University five-year program for sales/ marketing.

 

Colonel Jack Jacobs - Director

           Mr. Jacobs who entered military service through Rutgers ROTC, earned the Medal of Honor for exceptional heroism on the battlefields of Vietnam. He also holds three Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars. Jacobs was an adviser to a Vietnamese infantry battalion when it came under a devastating fire that disabled the commander. Although bleeding from severe head wounds, then-First Lieutenant Jacobs took command, withdrew the unit to safety, and returned again and again under intense fire to rescue the wounded and perform life-saving first aid. He saved the lives of a U.S. adviser and 13 allied soldiers.

           Jacobs served on the faculty of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the National War College in Washington, D.C. After retirement, he founded and was chief operating officer of Auto Finance Group. As a managing director of Bankers Trust Co., he led Global Investment Management to $2.2 billion in assets and later co-founded a similar business for Lehman Brothers. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a director of the Medal of Honor Foundation. He is also a military analyst for NBC/MSNBC.

 

Wilfredo Caraballo - Director

           Mr. Caraballo is currently a Law Professor at Seton Hall University and State Assemblyman (Ret). Professor Caraballo served as N.J. Public Advocate/Public Defender from 1990-92, South Orange Board Of Education 1987-90: Martin Luther King commemorative Commission 1988-1990: General Assembly 1996-present, Parliamentarian 2002-present, Associate Minority leader 1998-2001: Served on Telecommunications & Utilities Chair, Regulated Professional and independent authorities, vice chair and has sponsored many bills. Professor Caraballo received his B.A. degree from St. Joseph’s Seminary and his law degree from New York University. He is currently serving as vice chair for homeland security in New Jersey, working closely with N.J. State Police, F.B.I., Sheriffs departments and local police and firefighters.

 

Edward H. Lennon - Director

           Mr. Lennon was President of New Jersey State Police Union (ret.) representing over eighteen hundred (1800) State Troopers; Ed also previously held the position of first vice president for ten years. Mr. Lennon has dedicated his life to law enforcement and has been involved in all state activities as well as serving in executive protection responsible for several governors including the current governor. He has participated in seminars and classroom activities involving: Industrial security, emergency management training, homeland security, bombs, anthrax, age of terrorism, and weapons of mass destruction among many others. Ed also participated at Rutgers University, N.J. State Police Academy. He was appointed commissioner to the governor on criminal activity. Appointed trustee for economic development, appointed trustee to board of directors National troopers coalition, appointed as commissioner in the department of labor. He was detailed to Washington, D.C. to work on President George Bush’s inauguration activities. He is a graduate of the New Jersey State Police Academy, and attended Rutgers University and St. Peters College.

 

Mel Appelbaum - President/CEO/Director

           Mr. Appelbaum is a hands-on senior corporate executive with proven leadership skills and entrepreneurial experience. He has severed as the Managing Director at United Review Services, where he turned around this medical cost containment company. Prior to this, he was President/CEO of Horizon Associates Inc., working with startup and troubled companies in structuring them for profitability and success. Previously, he was CEO of Harvard Capital, a French-Fry vending machine manufacturer and distributor, which was taken public on the Vancouver Stock Exchange and later transferred to the NASDAQ. He served as CEO of Excell Products Corporation, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of houseware products and chemicals. Mel was also CEO of National Scanning Services, a database marketing company that provided strategic information for senior management decision-making. Previously, he was a senior management executive at PepsiCo and M&M/Mars. Mel received a BS in Mathematics from Indiana and he holds a PhD in Operations Research from NYU/Polytechnic with a specialization in forecasting.

 

William Carr - Director of Government & Military Sales

          Mr. Carr is a very successful and accomplished sales executive with international experience in ocean transportation with a focus on government and military sales. He is a proven results oriented leader with a successful track record in market identification, strategic planning and active problem solving. He has the ability to determine optimum corporate positioning to enhance business opportunities. Along with his domestic responsibility, Bill worked and lived in Canada and Iran for several years to develop, manage and grow these markets. Bill spent most of his career in sales positions with Sea-Land Service, Inc., the largest containerized steam ship line in the world directing international project teams through prioritization and development with a major focus on the military. He successfully negotiated multi million dollars sales contracts for the transportation of military supplies. Bill received a BA from John Carroll University and was a Captain in the US Army.
William A. Piegari - Vice President Engineering

          Mr. Piegai is a successful entrepreneur, business owner and design engineer with 4 patents for control systems in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls industry. He is a hands-on controls electrical engineer with many innovative controls designs, including writing of unique software algorithms for DDC controls for commercial HVAC equipment. Bill retired from the US Air Force as an officer with the rank of Major with last assignment as commander of the NJ squadron of the 9004th ARS, which was tasked to monitor the operations of NJ Civil Air Patrol for the USAF at McGuire AFB. William received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (currently NJIT).
